Anyone familiar with Seventh Sanctum's generators will recognize the "list generated" style immediately. Basically, you click a button and a story happens. What's different about mine isn't merely the the way the words actually fit together to make a coherent story, but the sheer magnitude of the content --over 50 items per list, and each story generates from eight lists. Though I'll warn you now, there are only a few PG-16 images and they're only suggestive, not graphic. However it does use Adult language!!! Feel free to borrow any idea generated to use in your own work. In fact, that's exactly why I made it, to help erotic writers come up with plot-based Adult story ideas. After all, it's not what you Have, (or where you got it,) it's what you Do with it that counts!

This visual novel started as a test of Ren'Py 6.11.2. You may notice some of the Ren'Py tutorial in the very beginning. This visual novel was initially called "firstproject", but was later renamed "Searching for Mio", then later to its current title, "The Petty Parody". Its current name was inspired by alliterations used by the Lemony Snicket books, who my friend loves greatly. The name "Mio" was inspired by Akiyama Mio from the popular anime series K-On!. Throughout its short development (a few weeks or months with short intervals of time spent haphazardly), The Petty Parody had no real direction. I just went with what seemed to fit, while still making the game somewhat amusing. A key source of inspiration for much of the game's dialogue comes from "The Fucking Question", a parody of the Ren'Py game "The Question". This game, until very recently, was complete crap. I asked a friend of mine, who had beta-tested before, and he suggested that I add more meta-jokes. I began to add some more meta-humor, and eventually ended up rewriting a large part of the game. The game is now in a completely different state than it was before his suggestion, so I thank HuckleberryPie greatly for his suggestion. Thanks for playing The Petty Parody! The Flower Shop is a dating and farming simulation game. Steve's life has just taken a downward turn. His grades from his first semester in college are dismal, his relationship with his girlfriend is rocky at best, and now his dad is shipping him off to some farm for the summer so that he can "build character." What's a poor, lazy, college kid to do? Take control of Steve as he spends a summer in Fairbook, working on the farm, making new friends, and maintaining old relationships. You can raise and sell your own crops, but you'll have to work hard to keep your land well watered and free of weeds and insects, or your crops will fail. Stop by the flower shop to buy more seeds, but choose wisely. Some plants take longer to mature, and some crops will get you a better return at the market. There are four girls who you can spend time with. Maintain a good relationship with them by spending time with them and learning about their hopes and dreams. You can impress them by improving your skills, but if you only focus on one thing, they won't be interested. Build a strong enough friendship, and it might even bloom into romance. You can plan your weeks and who you spend time with using the weekly scheduler. Customize each week, spend time with who you like, or ignore everyone and work all day. Don't forget to take a break once in a while, or your health will suffer. The game features nine different endings that change based on your decisions throughout the game. Will Steve finally learn to be responsible? A good farmer, even? Will he make up with his girlfriend, find a new romance, or end up alone? It's all in your hands.

The main character is Ichigo Naro, upon arriving at school one morning Nanako (a friend) comes to him with a problem, she has lost her favorite bracelet and she believes it was stolen. Now it is up to him to find out who stole it, if in fact it was stolen at all. The story is pretty simple and the puzzle or mystery may be easy or difficult depending on your deductive ability.

He teams up with another hostel resident who has her own weird gift, but first he must undergo a strange procedure called trepanation. Some doctors believe that trepanation can increase your brain power and improve academic and career performance, as well as give heightened consciousness. But unconscious starts to take over, giving a strange kind of clarity of the world beneath what we interpret with our eyes. This visual novel is a demo to what is aimed to be a full novel.
